In winter, it's not easy to have beautiful skin. Between the lack of sun, fatigue and cold, we put it to the test! So you need to take better care of your skin to prevent it from becoming damaged and ageing too quickly.
Here are a few tips for taking care of your skin in winter:
1. Remove your make-up
In winter, we all have sensitive skin. Micellar water is recommended as it is the gentlest product to remove your make-up. Don't hesitate to cleanse your skin morning and night with our snake venom micellar water which will deeply cleanse your skin while respecting its physiological balance.
2. Moisturise your skin
Your skin is dry because of the cold, so it needs rich care. Choose a well-moisturising day cream and apply it within 3 minutes of taking a shower (which should not be too hot). Don't neglect moisturising your body either, as it too tends to become drier in winter. For the evening, choose a nourishing night cream and massage it into your face.
3. Protect your skin from the sun... even in winter
Even if it's cold, your skin is still exposed to UV rays. Protect it with a foundation that contains a protective screen.
4. Drink plenty of water
As we keep saying, you need to drink water... but even more so in winter! This may come as a surprise given that it is not as hot as in the summer. However, it is just as important to rehydrate your skin during this season. So remember to drink 2.5 litres of water a day in the form of herbal teas, for example.
5. Pay attention to your diet
To keep your skin healthy, even in winter, it's not enough to just apply creams. You also need to think about the food you feed your body.
Here are some foods to prioritise in winter: fennel, leeks, seaweed, beef, egg yolks, mussels, carp, nuts, chestnuts...
To conclude, the key word is HYDRATATION! Remember to moisturise your skin in every possible way, follow our advice and your skin will thank you ;)
